FIRE RE-BUILD PROJECT

Client: Recipharm
Location: Ashton-Under-Lyne
Category: Fire Re-Build Project
Project Value: £300k

Project Overview:
Recipharm are a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer and developer with Head Quarters in Sweden, operating in the UK out of Bardsley Vale Mill, which dates back to Victorian times.

On Sunday the 25th November 2012 our Managing Director, Richard Rodgers, received a call to advise part of the facility was on fire and support was needed to re-instate critical services was handed back by the Fire Service.

Within two hours we were able to mobilise and had engineers on site with electrical, mechanical and HVAC expertise ready to assist in a co-ordinated and safe disaster recovery effort.

Over the next 24 hours we arranged delivery of power and steam generators with our engineers working round the clock to install and set up, minimizing the number of lost production days to 2.

This was of huge benefit to our client who were able to meet their production deadlines and ensue their own customers were not affected, as well as saving huge sums for the insurer by eliminating any loss of income.
With the immediate priority to recommence production now achieved, we were able to work with the client and loss adjuster over the coming weeks to design and submit plans which would return the area to its required specification and be acceptable to all parties, delivering quality and value for money in equal measure.

The works to carry out full re-instatement involved the construction of a new floor separating the basement and first floor, removal / reinstatement where required of separating walls and offices. Installation of new ceilings, wall and floor finishes. The existing mechanical and electrical services were renewed / replaced, which include lighting, power, ventilation services.
